    1. Ajalee Guno-Lazarre

I loved so many movies as a child as well! My favorite one was Hocus Pocus though, my mother k Ved it and since she’s passed now, everytime I watch it I feel like she’s watching it with me

    1. Good luck to you as well! I’m pushing positivity both your way and mine!! One of us is bound to win now! 😀😀

    1. I accidentally posted before I talked about my fave scary movie. It was terrifying as a child but not so much anymore, I think the Dark Crystal is the best movie Jim Hensen ever made. Such an absolutely fantastic fantasy world with just the right amount of dark and creepy to scare a 5 year old.

  1. One of my favorite creepy books is “Undying Love”… the true story of the Key West doctor who fell in love with one of his patients and when she passed, he kept her body in his home for many years!! Amazing book!!!

  2. When I was a kid, I loved to watch Dark Shadows, but I had nightmares and my dad wouldn’t let me watch it anymore..My favorite scary movie was The town that dreaded sundown.

  3. I’m a big wimp so I usually stay away from scary media, but when it comes to more psychological, unsettling horror I just can’t help myself at times. I recently discovered a new audio drama podcast called the Magnus Archives which has been delightfully creepy. It’s an anthology supernatural horror that focuses on the archivist for an organization that studies unusual happenings across the world. It’ll be on my playlist quite a bit this Spooktober I think! Good luck to all in the giveaway and thanks for holding it.

  4. My favourite book is The Stand by Stephen King. It’s a book that I have read several times & I still enjoy it even though it is very close to home right now & even more scary.

  5. John Carpenter’s “The Thing” . One of my favorite movies of all time : Masterpiece simply put , my favorite horror movie

  6. I really like the American Horror Story series. I love that it’s an anthology. The show is scary and very entertaining. I just now finished the 9th Season called 1984. Season 9 was about a camp and also the 80s. It has serial killers and ghosts. I thought it was a good season. Now, it’s on to season 10!

  7. My favorite kind of movies are time loop movies like groundhog day/ edge of tomorrow or the source code

Really enjoy these movies because they are stuck in the same day trying different outcomes

  8. My favorite horror movie is “The Exorcist”, what I like most about it is that I don’t have to explain to anyone what it’s about. Everyone has seen it.

  9. For my favorite scary movie I would have to go with the classic that is The Exorcist. I would choose The Exorcist because the acting was very believable, the practical effects were and are still amazing and the whole atmosphere of the movie creates a very effective tension when you watch it!

Thank you Mr. Hiatt for this opportunity!

  10. Child’s Play is my favorite scary movie by far! I love how dark humor is sprinkled in between jump-scares so you’re actually able to enjoy the movie more!

  11. It’s fear of the unknown that makes a story scary so that must change as each book or story read is no longer unknown

  12. when i was younger i went to a frinds’s house and watched a scarry movie about halloween, after the movie has ended, it was dark outside and i decided to go home and i got so scared that i have run with a great speed toward my house

  13. The Walking Dead was great in the beginning. I think they killed off way too many of the beloved characters too soon. I know they were trying to stick to the comics in some way, but when you are hoping to keep an audience, you must do things for them to stay around.

  14. The Night House – in terms of the atmosphere of the otherworldly, the film reminded me of another movie about the looking glass “Mirrors”, in terms of the atmosphere of depression and despair, it can be compared with the “Forest of Ghosts”. Of course, the topic of suicide, ghosts and demons cannot be fun. But you have to submit it properly. And with this, the filmmakers as a whole coped, I think.

  15. Favourite scary book: Lasher or The Witching Hour
Favourite scary movie: Casper (not really scary, but it has ghosts! so I’m counting it ;P)
Favourite scary TV show: Scream Queens

  16. We have a haunted walk in my town and a there is a book that goes with it. I found out the building I work in is haunted!

  17. Well,- compared to the news on CNN, MSNBC and other 24/7 news sites, nothing scares me all that much anymore. What could be more frightening than a US President who talks to dead people on National television?

  18. i liked so much the #The Black Phone# movie i liked it so much that i made a similar outfit for my kids for the halloween

  19. The Ruins by Scott Smith (2006)
In this novel by Scott Smith, a group of young, happy-go-lucky travelers in the Mexican jungle stumble upon the site of ancient ruins—and ancient evil. When one of the friends goes into the jungle alone and subsequently disappears, the others form a search party. But this is no ordinary jungle. And if you think that a botanical kingdom can’t be turned into a source of fear, well, you haven’t read this special brand of survivalist horror. Not sure what you’re in the mood to read? Pick a book based on your zodiac sign.

  20. The Unholy…. movie
A hearing-impaired girl is visited by the Virgin Mary and can suddenly hear, speak, and heal the sick. As people flock to witness her miracles, terrifying events unfold. Are they the work of the Virgin Mary or something much more sinister?

  21. I don’t usually watch scary movies because I’m a coward but one of my favorites include The Conjuring 1. I loved everything about the movie, and it spooked me a lot.

  22. We love horror films especially during the month of October. We watch as many new ones (new to us) as we can and rewatch a few of our favorites. I recently watched Overlord and it wasn’t scary like jump out of my chair scary but the premise of the nazi “zombie” was terrifiying.

  23. Elizabeth Tierce-Miller

I have not been impressed with Scary movies in many years..it always seems as if you know what is going to happen. I guess the best I would say would be Scooby Doo Haunted Halloween just because Scooby is always a fun show.

  24. Love this give-away! Best horror book I’ve read lately was THE PENNWOOD HAUNTING. I love spooky ghost stories!

  25. My favorite scary movie was always the original Carrie. The first time I ever watched it, I had to walk home, in the dark, all alone! That last scene always gets me!

  26. Richelle Leffler

I remember when I was younger, really enjoying the book – In a Dark, Dark Room and Other Scary Stories. I recently found it online and want to read it and see if I still like it as an adult.

  27. Growing up, I loved the Goosebumps books but that is about the scariest I can tolerate. I do enjoy watching paranormal shows/documentaries.

  28. I’m a huge horror movie super fan. I love scary movies better than any genre. I am a big fan of Friday the 13th. I’ve been watching them since I was 4 or 5 and all 6 of my grandbabies are super fans as well as my 2 sons. Hubby hates them but loves all of us!!!

  29. Halloween has always been one of my favorite holidays. Fittingly, I’ve loved the ‘Halloween’ movie series as long as I’ve been watching horror movies.

    1. W😮W!! This is such an amazing giveaway opportunity and I’m so eccited!🥰 Thank you for the chance and Good Luck to EVERYONE!🤗🍀🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

  30. Which of these books would you recommend for someone who love creepy alien encounter stories? The Sparrow by Maria Doria Russell is possibly my favorite book of all time.

  31. I really liked Midsommar. It’s a really great horror/thriller and perfect for spooky season. If anyone needs any movie recommendations to add onto their Scaretober movie marathons I would check this one out if you haven’t already! Thanks for doing this great giveaway! I wish everyone a fantastic spooky season!

  32. I love horror movies. I used to work at video store and got lot of free copies from sellers. So many I really can’t give you a title..I did like Cujo because made me think if I came upon adog that sizze with rabiess. What could you do. It would be to big to get away from it.

  33. My favorite scary book is a tie between Blood Crazy, Off-season, World War Z and It. There’s a disease or something that turns every adult over 18 into homicidal maniacs in Blood Crazy. Off-season has cannibals and people sausage. There’s zombies in World War Z,and it’s told in an anthology or report style. It has the creepiest clown and is responsible for half of why I fear clowns.

  34. The X-files is my favorite scary TV show. I think we can all relate to both the tenacity of Mulder and the skepticism of Scully, but at the end of the day we all want to believe.

  35. I love the original Halloween!! The movie is great and so is the book! I even make the music my ringtone every October!

  36. Books all look like fun reads and I would love to win! Stephen King’s IT was the scariest movie to me! Thanks for the chance!

  37. I would say probably The Shining. Growing up my Dad was a fan of Freddy Krueger and the Nightmare on Elm Street and those terrified me! The original The Exorcist is a movie that I will not watch again!

    1. My favorite tv show was “Are you afraid of the dark?” Being a 90s kid, I look forward to this on Friday nights in our local channel and it’s not really scary despite of its title.

  38. Tales from the Crypt: Demon Knight is my favorite horror movie! All the books and movies are full of suspense and scared the crap out of me as a kid!

  39. I am always happy when I find another author I haven’t seen before and I get the chance to read more exciting stories. I’m an avid reader have over 1,000 books in my Kindle which I think I’ll have to narrow it down soon lol. It will be my pleasure to start on yours soon, I think the hardest part will be picking out the 1st title. Good luck everyone!

  40. I have always loved scary stories. I remember loving Goosebumps when I was a kid and now as an adult I love Stephen King novels and movies as well as other scary books and movies.

  41. I’m not a fan of scary movies but my Hubby is …I’ll never forget our 1st date, back in the 70’s he took me to see the movie Carrie…I’ve never asked but I but he got a kick out of me hiding my face in his shirt all night!!

  42. I am a huge Agatha Christie fan and Stephen king fan, especially during spooky season! Excited for this giveaway bill!

  43. I have to admit, The Lake House, is one of my favorite movies. I’m in between books right now, getting ready for a road trip so will catch up with some reading soon.

  44. vivorn sophamisay

One of the scary books I’ve read was The Tommyknockers by Stephen King. I had to have the light on when I read it because it would give me goosebumps.

  45. My favorite is suspense, mystery, thriller, but being honest I do not like horror in any way. I am a single Mom and even tho my two daughters are grown, one way I was ok with being a single Mom was not watching horror anything. If I had watched that material I would be scared all the time and definitely didn’t want that for my children.

  46. I liked The Shining, the book not the movie. Scariest movie I ever saw is The Crawling Hand, I saw it when I was 5 years old. I’m 65 now and still remember it clearly.

  47. I love shopping at Amazon, being in a wheelchair I don’t get out to the store’s anymore, so Amazon let’s me send stuff to my family.. Thanks for the shot at winning.

  49. I don’t watch scary movies but I have been watching Cabinet of Curiosities on Netflix. Thank you for the opportunity! ❤️

  50. donateeverything

Couldn’t help it! I said I wouldn’t join, but here I go again. Ahahaha. I still haven’t won anything from you, Bill. Good luck everyone!

  51. Love this time of the year and love Halloween. I’ve love watching House on Haunted Hill, Thirteen Ghosts and I’m currently watching all the seasons of Supernatural again from the beginning

  52. I remember watching Salem’s Lot with my mom and when I read the book, it became one of my favorite horror stories.

  53. I’m not into scary books or movies but my hubby loves them, so I am always on the lookout for new books especially that I can give him for gifts!

  54. I’ve really been enjoying Cabinet of Curiosities on Netflix right now. Just the right amount of scary and morbid!

  55. My favorite scary movie is the SAW series. It wasn’t all that scary to me. However, the build up of the suspense was what I enjoyed the most.

  56. One of my favorite scary movies is The Ring. I’ll never forget how frightened I was during parts of it when I first saw it. I also was pretty scared when I first saw Scream 2. Thanks for the fantastic opportunity to win!
