Before we get to this month’s featured book, I should mention that the first book in the World Unbalanced series, The Strange Case of Guaritori Diolco, is on sale this month. You can find it at https://www.amazon.com/Strange-Guaritori-Diolco-World-Unbalanced-ebook/dp/B0D29NQF9F

Since I featured my third book last time, it seems fitting to feature my fourth book, Evil within Yourselves, this month. It’s also the third book in the Spell Weaver series. You can find information on the series as a whole at https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07XXC9ZLJ.

Evil within Yourselves

Taliesin Weaver has survived attack by vindictive witches, ferocious dragons, scheming faerie kings, and even angry ex-gods. Unfortunately, his enemies have not given up, and now they are scheming to destroy the foundation on which his success has been built: his friends.

One by one the people closest to Tal fall for tricks that lure them out of town, leaving them—and him—more vulnerable to attack. Even worse, some of them unwittingly succumb to temptations that tie them to Tal’s worst enemies and set them up to fail Tal when he needs them most.

Tal can no longer rely on his friends. Worse, he can’t even rely on himself. Unaware that the girl he thinks he loves has cast a spell on him, Tal finds himself having more and more trouble containing Dark Me, the evil alter ego that now wrestles him daily for control of his body. That situation is bad enough to begin with, but when a misguided faerie spell gives Dark Me a body and makes him indistinguishable from Tal by any means, scientific or magical, all Hell breaks loose—literally!

I really enjoyed the movie Great Awakenings last month with Benjamin Franklin whom I found out I’m his first cousin 8th removed after I signed up for Ancestry and took the DNA test, so amazing!

  2. Been reading lots of kids books with my two younger children to improve their reading skills, learn new words, and expand their imagination.

  3. The best book I’ve read recently was Bitten Magic by Brogan Thomas. I adore all her books, but this being the wrap up of the series had cameos from so many characters from her earlier books!

  4. I read all sorts of books but I particularly like short stories. The Death Clock by J. Rock was well-written & a good reminder to us all about the value of time.

I won a advance reader copy of It Looks Like You in the Dark and have been reading that the last couple of weeks. Pretty decent horror novel with a interesting look at native Alaskan life and mythology.
    Definitely pretty slow though.

  6. Hi! I recently saw the Isle of Dogs, been one of these movies I knew I would end up loving but never finding the right occasion to sit down and actually watch it. Well, I end up loving it haha The soundtrack, the gorgeous and raw stop motion, the story, everything is so well crafted and with full intent and passion, one of these author movies that really deserve the praise it got and still receive. Absolutely recommended to anyone that like me hasn’t seen it when it was super popular. Thanks for the giveaway btw! <3
