    Hi Bill. I figured I should mention that the link on the Gleam contest says the URL of this page (www.billhiatt.com/2021/07/25/august-2021-giveaway/), but when you click on it, it brings the visitor to https://www.billhiatt.com/my-books-2/. It looks like an oversight, but just in case it’s a reading comprehension test, here’s a post. 🙂

    As for August memories, let’s not forget August Ferdinand Möbius, the mathematician who discovered the Möbius strip. Brilliant.

      Hmmm… I was wondering why so many people were posting to the comment link for last month’s giveaway. The situation is very odd. It took me three tries to get the underlying link properly updated. (It showed as the correct link for this month even on the editing screen, and the first two tries at changing it didn’t take for some reason.)

      If anyone is reading this and becomes concerned, don’t worry. The earlier comments posted to the “My Books” page before the link was corrected will still count as entries for this month’s giveaway. There’s no need to take any additional action.

    August was always my favorite summer when I was growing up, it’s my birthday month and we were always on summer break. Enjoying the last few weeks playing in the fields, the barn and the creek behind our house with my siblings has provided me with memories that will last a lifetime.

    I think my best memory in august was going out for a vacation after 6 months. I went to south to see tourist places like old fort ruins and temples and beaches. I had very much fun in the beach sitting on the chair enjoying wine and all.

    My favorite August memory is a recurring one. The first few days of school, especially elementary school were always special. Way back then, we didn’t start until September. The air was crisp in the mornings, the smell of new book bags and freshly sharpened wooden pencils and the excitement of seeing friends and meeting new people was so much fun.
