March Reading

Those of you who are mythology fans may wish to consider one of my two retellings designed for a modern audience, each of which is available for $0.99 for a limited time.

Fateful Pathways: A Story of Theseus

Born of a mother manipulated by the goddess Athena into sleeping with a king and a god on the same night, Theseus’s life was never going to be easy. Athena’s plan is for him to be the hero and king who will preside over a new golden age for Athens. But to achieve that goal, Theseus can never stop fighting, first to win the crown and then to keep it. Bandits, rebels, monsters, witches, and even hostile deities stand in his way. Athena claims he is fated to succeed, but even she admits that fate is not a single path but a road with many forks. Has her intervention helped him become the hero he was meant to be? Or has she doomed him to a life of failure?

Harmony and Disharmony: A Story of Orpheus and Jason

Orpheus is not interested in inheriting his father’s throne. He wants nothing more than to use music to bring joy to his fellow mortals. Jason believes that nothing is more important than wresting his father’s throne from a usurper. He wants to perform heroic feats that will earn him as much glory as possible. Under ordinary circumstances, Orpheus and Jason would probably never have met. Certainly, they would never have been allies. But scheming gods plunge them into adventures greater than either of them has ever imagined. Both of them want to achieve their respective dreams. But facing hostile armies, monsters, and even conflicts among the gods will force them into horrible dilemmas. Will they sacrifice their dreams, or will they die trying to preserve them?

  1. Spring is my favorite season. I love watching everything coming back to life and the pretty spring flowers.

  2. Spring…I like the warm temperatures, planting my garden for fresh produce, and taking my family camping at local state parks!

  3. These giveaways sound fun! Love your books!
Favorite part about spring is getting to spend time at home catching up on my tbr pile with my new baby 🥰

I like that the weather is warming up and the trees and flowers are coming out from winter hibernation.

  5. What I like the most about Spring is seeing the new green grass sprouting up and allthe new flowers that start to grow.

  6. I like about Spring is nature comes back to life after winter, with blooming flowers, warmer weather, longer days, and the opportunity to enjoy more outdoor activities like hiking, gardening, and picnics.

  7. Spring is like nature’s own reset button, and what I love most is that palpable sense of renewal in the air. There’s this moment when you step outside and everything just feels different—the sun shines a little warmer, the first blossoms peek out, and the world seems to exhale after holding its breath all winter. It’s not just the environment that changes; it’s like a spark ignites within us too. Suddenly, possibilities that felt distant start to seem within reach. It’s fascinating how the budding of a simple flower can inspire us to pursue new goals or rekindle old passions. Have you ever felt that rush of motivation when the days start getting longer?

What’s really interesting is how spring affects everyone differently yet brings us together in this collective uplift. In some cultures, entire festivals are dedicated to celebrating the arrival of spring, symbolizing new beginnings and fresh starts. It makes me think about how deeply connected we are to the cycles of nature, even in our modern, fast-paced lives. Maybe it’s a reminder to pause and appreciate these moments of transition. After all, they’re fleeting but incredibly impactful.

  8. What I love most about spring is that burst of renewal—the world wakes up, and suddenly everything feels possible. It’s amazing how a bit of sunlight and blossoming trees can invigorate the spirit.

  9. What I love the most about Spring is the shift of temperature from the cold of Winter (which I like, but you get enough of it at some point) and the warmth of Spring, before things get too hot with Summer!

  10. Pamela Chambers

  16. I look forward to Spring because I can hardly wait to go wild food foraging, it’s the only way I can afford edible organic greens- prices at the grocery store too high for our budget.

  17. What I love best about Spring everything is waking back up and growing like the plants, grass, and flowers and we get to spring forward on the time which is my favorite time to be on ! Thanks for the chance

  18. I live in New York City and love long walks all around the town as the weather gets mild. No more cabin fever.

  19. Vancouver is so very grey in the Winter, so the return of real sunlight in the Spring is such a relief.

  20. Cheryll Powning

  23. Brittany Gilley

I’m looking forward to spring this year more than ever before. It’s been a long winter with the destruction that Helene laid upon us here in western North Carolina; it’s so hard to drive around and see the damage when the trees are bare, it make the devastating landscape more depressing. I hope the leaves and colors give a renewed sense of love for our area.

  24. While autumn is my most favorite season, spring is a very close second!

I really enjoy the smells and visions of the everchanging landscape, particularly the leaves. Amazing to watch them go from buds to large, limey almost see through leaves … only to turn leathery in the autumn which makes the most soothing (or haunting) sound

The return of migratory birds (I love to feed them) especially hummingbirds

Restarting the veggie garden and the flowers, can’t leave those out…daffodils and lilacs, what a scent!

Finally, the sun … growing ever stronger as it draws closer, warming the earth and my skin …giving me much needed melanin …lol

  25. Spring is still at least a month away but I love that the ice has melted in the lake. I love seeing the daffodils popping up in the flower beds.

  26. I love Spring because it finally gets warmer and you can open the windows and get some fresh air in the house! Plus baseball season starts yay!!

  27. I’ve got a lot of catching up to do this month!

Spring Cleaning, once completed, always cheers me up!

  28. What I like best is that everything starts coming back to life. And I can start getting my hands dirty in the garden!

  29. Thanks for the chance! The sun and the birds are waking up the trees and all the small and big creatures in nature:)

  30. A new month, a new giveaway, always exciting to see what’s up for grabs. Looking forward to checking this one out

  31. What I like best about Spring is seeing my apple and plum trees start to blossom. They are just so beautiful!

  32. What I like best about Spring is the renewal of nature and wildlife. It is like the beginning of life again.

  33. My favorite thing about Spring is, everything seems to come back to life again. The air feels lighter and Earth seems to replenish its self, it’s actually quite amazing!!

  34. Our winters are so long here in Michigan. I look forward to walking and biking our local rail trail again. It runs right through our city block. I also love planting a garden!

  35. Life gets warmer, come bird chirping weather, here in Indiana. More daylight time, while nature springs up as far as the eye can see, makes for a seasonal change full of hope.

  36. I love the longer days, the grass turning green, the abundance of flowers. The other side is what do I not like about spring? The possibility of tornados scares me.

  37. The thing I like best about spring is the fact that the weather is typically warmer since I absolutely love warm weather!

  38. Thank you team for the event. I appreciate you and your work.
I love the newly blooming flowers and summer scent in spring. Reading a book is especially enjoyable.
